the higher and lower manas are essentially image-makers.
Kama-manas simply adds emotional charges to the images.
When we die, we lose our brains, and with it the power to think
logically and rationally. What we have instead, is an outpouring
of karmic images.
Yes, but my reference here is to the higher, relatively formless planes
or spheres of being. The forms 'there' are for us imperceivable unless
we have developed higher manas to a high degree. My statement was intended
to point out to Richard that beyond images there is a deeper level of
perception possible in the so-called arupa (Sanskrit for: formless) realms
of being. The arupa forms exist too according to HPB and GdP. For us they
are formless, but for higher beings they will be as real as images are for
us.
