<On the topic of a magician such as Crowley being a Messenger from HPB's
<teachers, only one thought springs to mind (besides bewilderment):

Perhaps this is because you see HPB as THE messenger
rather than A messenger. The Lodge also sends out messengers to
those outside theosophical circles, Rich. In fact, it sends messengers
to people of all kinds who teach on all levels of understanding. Truth
cannot be owned by any single group and can be expressed in myriad
ways.
