In this discussion we are indeed "mixing and comapring apples and
oranges" as to crime rates, gun crimes and national policies...there are
*many* factors which bring a nation to a certain evolutionary level and
which produce certain societal styles (whether a nation is homogeneous
(Japan)  or diverse (Bosnia) is significant as to the these stats).

The primary point is that removing inalienable rights does not make for
a better society and indeed all on-going significant social difficulties
can be traced to just such. (see
