I share your concern.  The husband of a good friend of mine in Northern
California got caught up in the militia movement there for short time.
 Fortunately, he got a job opportunity in another part of the state and after
they moved, that ended that.

For the moment, one of the advantages of living in an urbanized area is that
we don't have that particular problem, but it is inevitable that it will find
its way into the suburbs as well.  There are, of course, certain psychic
things that can be done to deal with it, but those methods make our
Theosophical brethren very nervous.
