Keith,
there is nothing pseudo-sanskritical about Dharana. Give me a little time 
and I will prepare a complementary glossary and notes to the "Voice of 
Silence". Will start in a couple of days. I will also run through the 
Mahayana-sutralamkara (magnum opus of Asanga/Aryasanga) for interesting 
parallels.
