What if your site doesn't carry the alt.theosophy newsgroup?
Don't panic. You can get access to this group in the following way:
There are some quirks involved which I have to examine, however, because
the third time I followed this procedure it didn't seem to work
(maybe the alt.theosophy server was down?)

- Point your browser to http://www.altavista.digital.com/
- In the keyword search, click the usenet option rather than the world wide
web     option. In addition you could choose a detailed form rather than
standard form.
- As a keyword type: alt.theosophy
- You will get a list of articles related to alt.theosophy
- Click on one of these articles (on a blue field)
- The article is displayed and you will see the keyword alt.theosophy in it
- Click on this keyword and voila there appears a list of articles from the
  newsgroup. You can read, reply, post, etc.

Enjoy and tell your friends about this possibility if they want to participate
in this newsgroup but think they can't get access to it.
BTW, you could also ask your provider to carry the alt.theosophy newsgroup.
