Sy:

Glad to see your feedback.

I think there are two possible solutions.

1. Using a mail program which has filter capabilities. I use the Eudora
Pro which runs under Windows and have set up three folders. One each for
theos-XXXX, Listening-l, others. So all my personal and direct messages
are put in my others folder which I see as soon as the messages are
downloaded. It is possible that some may not be able to use this program.
There are two free programs available which do filtering. One is I think
Pegasusmail and the other is Beyondmail. I do not have info on programs
which run under Mac.

2. When quoting a message, the quote can be below the reply. Just like I
have done now. So the reader can read the reply and read the rest if
desired or can ignore the rest. Also the first few lines of reply may
help to decide deleting the message or not.

Others may have other ideas. This is my 2 cents worth.

PS: I do not know the limitations one has when using AOL or Compuserve.
What I have stated above applies to straight Internet access.
