Alan,

In many people's opinions the president should do many things. Stepping down
after the initial Iraq attack may be one of them. However, I think that one
needs to see the consistency of a pattern with him which includes a refusal to
resign in any manner and a clinging to the office like a life buoy. The fellow
loves his power that much.
