Alex,
In 18th century Britain the only people who weren't corrupt were the ones who
couldn't afford to be. And the fact that George III had Porphyry did not
negate the fact that his behavior was irrational, therefore crazy. To my
knowledge, he is only the only British monarch who ended up in a straight
jacket (though certainly not the only one who deserved to be).
