This sounds like the stated *intent* of the ULT with a number of
independent lodges to study Theosophy and no emphasis on personality.
The actual implementation though falls short of the ideal and the
defintion of what is theosophical is held too tightly.

If you don't want to formalize any particular teachings or practice
e.g. become a "sect" in the good sense of the word the best approach
is like the Theosophical Network of the mid 1980's where one simply
states that one is a Theosophist and gets listed in an international
directory. It doesn't matter what T.S.'s one belongs to or one's
particular beliefs. There is no structure no organization no
formalization of any particular ideas.
