Initiate? And how does one recognize one?

The only way to recognise the light of spirituality
in others, is for you to first develop it within
yourself. Light recognises light. Without the inner
awareness, you are prey to any self-proclaimed
guru who sounds good to you. Perhaps the real
question here is how does one go about developing
spirituality within oneself?
