Cyril Scott was a British composer and theosophist. He was born in
1879 and studied music in Germany. After a phase of agnosticism he
discovered Yoga philosophy, joined the Theosophical Society, and became
interested in occultism and mysticism. He wrote several novels of the
"occult fiction" genre. He was also interested in alternative medicine
and wrote several books in that area. He wrote his autobiography,
"Bone of Contention," at age 90 in 1969.

The Olcott Library has a good selection of his books.

Any member of the Theosophical Society in America may borrow materials
from the Olcott Library. Anyone NOT affiliated with the TSA may become
