Hi --

The list can be set up to ACKnowledge each message sent to it.  If you
want the List to send back your OWN messages to you, send to:

listserv@char.vnet.net

with a message body of:
SET THEOS-L MAIL ACK

this will instruct the listserver to ACK the messages you send.  (done
by sending the message back to you)

If you use a message body of:
SET THEOS-L MAIL NOACK

it will discontinue this practice.

The listserver has several commands you can use to adjust the method
with which Theos-l and you interact.  Sending a message of:

HELP

will cause a brief list of available command to be sent to your
e-mail address.

Please note that listserv and theos-l are DIFFERENT! Listserv performs
functions you request.  Theos-l relays EVERYTHING it receives out to
the Group members.

a subtle but important point.

Compuserve may add charges to your e-mail from Internet.
Please check their current mail policy.
