The list can be set up to ACKnowledge each message sent to it. If you
want the List to send back your OWN messages to you, send to:
with a message body of:
SET THEOS-L MAIL ACK
this will instruct the listserver to ACK the messages you send. (done
by sending the message back to you)
If you use a message body of:
SET THEOS-L MAIL NOACK
it will discontinue this practice.
The listserver has several commands you can use to adjust the method
