In this, internet not new.  Medium is new but people's bad habits are not.  
Anonymous information, problematic both in terms of its source and quality 
(accuracy) as the doxa (Plato), noise (Gnostics), or rumor, has been around 
as long as in-laws.  Maybe longer!
