I don't think we know about all the various methodologies are used to
produce an item out of thin air - materialization is perhaps only one of
the techniques. There may be other means of transporting an article which
is already there.

There was an instance of a light in HPB's bed room being turned up
mysteriously. Finally it was found that a brown hand was seen doing it. It
all happened at a time when everyone in the residence was whites and there
were no non whites. It is described in one of memoirs about HPB.

So I would keep the above in mind before coming to any conclusion about Sai
Baba creating an object.
