I sympathize with your desire to turn words into geometry.  The only
thing that comes to my mind immediately is the Gupta Vidya Model that I
have been working with.  I am using CorelDraw to draw the model.  The
basic model of our planetary chain is a circular linked chain of 12
circles representing the 12 Globes and interconnecting paths.  Almost
like 12 pearls on a necklace.  Because I have been so close to it, I
now have a good geometric feel for the whole idea of a planetary chain.
