Thanks for the great reply. I agree with everything you said.
Presuming we reach a consensus around here about advertising the
list, I will happily use your message as a posting. The advert
I wrote was just a rough sketch, and yours is much better.

If anyone else feels like modifying the advert, feel free.

So, at this point, we have two "yays" and one "nay" for advertising
the list.  Anyone else who cares to offer their opinion about this,
please do.
